【摘要】:Theintentofthistestprocedureistomeasurethecladding(outside)diameterofanopticalfiberdrawingprocesspriortotheapplicationoftheprotectivebuffercoating(s).Itisalsousedoff-lineasaqualityinspectionmethod.Inthisapplication,itisnormallyusedinsteadofFOTP-45.Controlofthecladdingdiameterisrequiredtoassuretheperformanceofthefiberincabling,connectorizationandsplicing.Uniformityofthecladdingdiameteralongthelengthisalsorequired.
