【摘要】:Thispracticecanbeusedtoevaluatevariouspropertiesofone-timenoncorrectableribbonsonacomparativebasis.Thesepropertiesincludewrite,flake-off,heatstability,bleed-through,offsetmastererasability,reproduction,unintentionaltransfer,andgeneralquality,thatis,splices,skips,andholesincoating,offsettobackofribbon,andtransfertofingers.Thispracticeissuitableforcomparativeserviceevaluationandresearchanddevelopment.Thispracticemaynotbepracticalformanufacturingcontrolbecauseoftimerequiredtorunsomeofthetests.1.1Thispracticeprovidesinformationandtechniquesforevaluatingseveralperformancequalitiesofone-timenoncorrectabletypewriterribbonsonacomparativebasisforgeneralofficeuse,butnotforspecializedapplicationssuchasopticalcharacterrecognition(OCR),dataterminals,etc.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityofwhoeverusesthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:TheengineeringfunctionofmanyPMpartsmayrequireanexteriorportionoftheparttohaveahardenedlayer.Wherecasehardeningproducesadistincttransitioninthemicrostructure,metallographicestimationoftheobservedcasedepthmaybeusedtocheckthedepthtowhichthesurfacehasbeenhardened.1.1Ametallographicmethodisdescribedforestimatingtheobservedcasedepthofferrouspowdermetallurgy(PM)parts.Thismethodmaybeusedforalltypesofhardenedcaseswherethereisadiscernibledifferencebetweenthemicrostructureofthehardenedsurfaceandthatoftheinteriorofthepart.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
